Prevalence and Drug Resistance of Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii Isolated from Lower Respiratory Tract of a Tertiary Hospital

Abstract： Objective The prevalence and drug resistance of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumanni（CRAB） isolated from lower respiratory tract specimens were analyzed.MethodsRetrospective analysis of the clinical distribution characteristics and resistance to common antibiotics of CRAB in lower respiratory tract samples submited by hospitalized patients in a tertiary hospital from 2020 to 2022.ResultsFrom 2020 to 2022， 475 strains of CRAB were isolated from lower respiratory tract specimens of hospitalized patients，withthe highest detectionrateofCRABfromICU （60.42%） .Themedianageofpatientswas59 yearsold，andtheratioof maleto female was 3.1：1. With the exception of colistin， minocycline，and tigecycline， CRAB exhibited over 90% resistance tothe majorityofroutinelyusedantibiotics.There was no significant diference intheresistancerateofCRAB to most antibiotics in diferent areas.ConclusionDoctors should focus on the prudent use of antibiotics because the CRAB detection rate in lower respiratory tract specimens was high and the antimicrobial resistance was severe.
