Abstract: Based on the division of the curiculum system,this paper conducts an in-depth and meticulous research on the talent training model of libraryand information science in Department of Library and Information Science, Rutgers,State Universityof New Jersey,New Brunswick,around specialty setting,curriculum setting,teacher resource and platform support by means of case studyand online research.This paper puts forward three inspirations of cultivating profesional composite talents,building a special platform for academic project research,and constructing a talent training model of undergraduate and master's degree,and proposes some referential improvement strategies for cultivating library and information science talents in China.
