【Abstract】Objective To explore the clinical value of prenatal ultrasound in screening fetal abnormalities. MethodsA total of3478 parturients who underwent regular prenatal check-ups atour hospital from March 2021 to May 2024 were selected.Two-dimensional color ultrasound，fetal nuchal translucency（NT）ultrasound，and midpregnancy four-dimensional colorultrasound were performedbefore delivery.The diagnostic eficacyof the combinationof two-dimensional colour ultrasound，NTultrasound，and four-dimensionalcolourultrasound was analyzedbasedontheresultsof induced labour/delivery，and itsconsistencywith theresultsof induced labour/ delivery was evaluated. ResultsOut of 3 478 postpartum women， 80 cases（ 2.30% ）were confirmed to have fetal abnormalities through follow-up.Among 3 478 parturients，77 cases （2.21% ）hadabnormal fetuses detected by NT ultrasound. Follow up confirmed that the diagnostic accuracy was 96.25% ，with3 cases missed，2 cases with ventricular septal defect，and1 case with whole forebrain，3423 cases continued to conceive，and 5O cases （1.46 % ）with abnormal fetuses were detected by four-dimensional ultrasound.Folowupconfirmed thatthe diagnostic accuracy was 100% compared to the results.The sensitivity，specificity，positive predictive value，negative predictive value，and accuracyof thecombined diagnosis offetal malformations using four-dimensional ultrasoundandNTultrasound were 97.14% ， 100% ， 100% ， 99.91% ，and 99.91% ，respectively，all higher than those of two-dimensional ultrasound （ P< 0.05）.The consistency between the diagnosticresults of two-dimensional colorultrasoundand theresults of induced labor/delivery was poor（ P <0.05）. The consistency between the diagnostic results of four-dimensional ultrasound and NT ultrasound was good （ P <0.05）. Conclusion The combined examination of NT ultrasound and mid-pregnancy 4D ultrasoundisbeneficialforimproving the detectionrateoffetalabnormalitiesandproviding areference for early termination of pregnancy in pregnant women.
