Species of Alien Invasive Asteraceae Plants in China and Their Biological Characteristics

Abstract：Invasive alien species havebecome a global issue，with plant invasions posing severe threats to China's biodiversity，socio-economic development，and human health．Asteraceaerepresents the largestandoneof themost harmful groupsofinvasivealien plants inChina.Basedonthe catalogofFloraof Alien Invasive Plants in China compiledin 2O2O andacomprehensivereview of relevant species literature，a total of110 species from 62 generaof invasivealien Asteraceaeplants in China were identified.Among them，Erigeronhas thehighestspecies count （9 species）.

These species were categorized into five hazard levels basedon their invasivenessThe majorityof these species originate from the Americas，and their primary introduction pathway isunintentional，accounting for 48% of cases.The coastalregionsofChinaarethemostcommon initial discoverysites，folowedbyYunnanProvince.This studyelaborates onthehazardsposed byinvasive alien Asteraceae plants and clarifies their shared biological characteristics，aiming to provide a scientificbasis for research，management，monitoring，and control of invasive alien Asteraceae in China.
