Ear acupoint pressing combined with traditional Chinese medicine oral administration in the treatment of insomnia：a Meta-analysis

AbstractObjective：To systematically evaluate the therapeutic effect of ear acupoint pressing combined with traditional Chinese medicine on insomnia.Methods：The related studies on the therapeutic effect of ear point pressing combined with traditional Chinese medicine oral administration on insomnia were retrieved from CNKI，WanFang database，VIP，MedLine，PubMed，the Cochrane Library.The retrieval time was from the inception to March 2023.RevMan 5.4 software was used to systematically evaluate the included literature.Results：Ten studies were ultimately included，involving a total of 797 study subjects with 399 insomnia patients in the trial group and 398 insomnia patients in the control group.Compared with control group，the effective rate of trial group in treating insomnia was better （OR=4.36，95%CI 2.84-6.71，P<0.000 01），trial group had lower PSQI score ［MD=-2.02，95%CI －2.39-－1.65，P<0.000 01］.Conclusion：Current evidence shows that the combination of ear acupoint pressing and traditional Chinese medicine has a clear therapeutic effect on insomnia，with a higher effective rate and a significant decrease in PSQI score compared to western medicine treatment.
