Construction of oral nutritional supplements compliance assessment scale for patients with colorectal cancer

Abstract  Objective：To construct oral nutritional supplements（ONS） compliance assessment scale for patients with colorectal cancer.Methods：The theory of knowledge，attitude，practice was used as the structural framework of scale，relevant guidelines and literature were used as reference materials，and a pool of items of ONS compliance assessment scale for patients with colorectal cancer was formed.Then，ONS compliance assessment scale for patients with colorectal cancer was constructed by expert inquiry method.Results：Two rounds of expert inquiry were conducted， with questionnaire response rates of 90.91% and 100.00%，expert opinion submission rates of 45.00% and 25.00%， and expert authority coefficients of 0.878 and 0.893，respectively.In the second round of expert inquiry，the average score of importance of the dimensions were from 4.80 to 4.90，the full score ratio were from 85% to 90%，the coefficient of variation were from 0.06 to 0.11，and the Kendall harmony coefficient was 0.874 （P<0.001）.The average score of importance of the items were from 4.30 to 4.95，the full score ratio were from 35% to 95%，the coefficient of variation were from 0.05 to 0.24，and the Kendall harmony coefficient was 0.410（P<0.001）.Finally，ONS compliance assessment scale for patients with colorectal cancer was constructed，which included 3 dimensions and 33 items.Conclusions：The constructed ONS compliance assessment scale for patients with colorectal cancer has good scientific and reliable validity，and can be used as a tool for evaluating ONS compliance in patients with colorectal cancer.
