What is World Water Day？

Everyone needs water， and every drop is important. In 1992， the United Nations decided to make a special day—World Water Day—to make more people know how valuable water is. World Water Day has been celebrated on March  22nd every year since 1993.

Why do we need water？

The human body is around 60 percent water， and we need to drink lots of water to make sure of the basic needs of our bodies. We also need it for cooking， washing and many other things. We use water indirectly too. For example， farmers use water to make the plants grow， and a lot of water is used to produce the clothes we wear.
