With teaching reform of VI design course as the research object， this article focuses on current situations and problems in the implementation of project-based teaching， probes into the influencing factors for the difficulties of teaching implementation， puts forward the teaching reform ideas based on the work process and in line with the characteristics of VI design course， and makes positive explorations for education and teaching of fostering high-quality technical and skilled design professionals in higher vocational colleges.
