Abstract:Due to harsh working environment,vibration failure often occurs in sand mixing pump for hydraulic fracturing.To solve this problem,a CFD-DEM coupling calculation method was used to build asolid-liquid two-phase flow simulation model.Under the condition of different impeller speeds,flow rates,particle sizes and sand mixing concentrations,the influence of external characteristics of centrifugal pump under solid-liquid twophase flow condition was analyzed.Meanwhile,thefluid forces acting onthe volute and impellerof thecentrifugal pump in the x , y and z directions were monitored and analyzed,and the power spectral density curves of the volute and impeller in the x , y and z directions were obtained using the periodogram method. The research results show thattheaddition of particle phase leads toa decrease inthe delivery headand eficiencyofcentrifugal pump.The main vibration directions of the impeller and volute aretheaxial direction of the impellerand theoutlet directionof the voluterespectively,andthe main vibrationfrequency is the blade frequency.The impeller speed and flowrate are the main factors affcting the vibration power of centrifugal pump:every time the impeller speed rises by 100r/ (20 min,the main vibration power of the impeller and volute is increased by 36. 15% and 37. 71% respectively, every time the flow rate increases by 3.78m3/min ,the main vibration power of the impeller is increased by 28. 45% on average,and that of the volute decreased by 11. 27% on average. The influence of sand concentration and particle size on vibration is relatively small.
