AbstractTheImproved West Lake JiFangMapinthecollectionof Zhang YuanjiLibrary is finelyprinted，with clearly annotated geographic informationand comprehensive map functions.It serves as an important visual resource for studying the historical changes of West Lake，yet it has long remained unnoticedby the academiccommunity.This paper explorestheorigins，content，purpose，andnatureofitsmodifications throughscientificanalyticalmethods.Furthermore， it examines the evolutionofthe useofthe JiLi Hua Fang（geometric mapping） method in WestLakemaps and traces the transformation of modern Chinese cartographic techniques.
